As a part of COVID-19 precautions, we have done a thorough job of putting procedures in place to ensure that our offices remain infection-free. We have used the infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
We had to make several changes in the way we receive, process, and treat patients, so we kindly ask you to follow the instructions we provide for dental appointments. We are aware that this might lead to longer waiting times and some additional steps, but we are doing this to keep you safe and healthy.
Covid-19 Health and Safety Precautions
The next time you visit Smile Advantage, you should be aware of the following changes to protect our patients and staff.
- All staff and patients are required to wear masks.
- When you book an appointment, and before arriving for it, our staff will ask you a series of screening questions.
- When you arrive, our staff will meet you in the parking lot for a temperature check.
- At the entrance, we provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you to wear throughout your visit.
- There are additional gloves around the office in case you need to change them.
- We removed all magazines, children’s toys, and other entertainment from our waiting areas as they are extremely challenging to keep clean if everyone visiting the office uses them.
- There will be fewer slots available for scheduling appointments to decrease the number of patients in the office at the same time.
- Only one person is allowed in the waiting room.
- Our office has a brand new air filtration system with HEPA filters to prevent airborne transmission.
- Every visit will incur a $25 PPE charge.
